IRIBE Paul

(1883 – 1935)

The French fashion illustrator, “media mogul”, poster designer and decorator has collaborated with famous caricaturist magazines such as : Le Rire, L’assiette au beurre, Cocorico or le sourire. Paul Iribe was truly a “jack of all trades”!

He worked with Paul Poiret for his book Les Robes. He created several magazines such as Schéhérazade, le Témoin and le Mot. He is also known for his furniture, jewellery, fabrics and fans. He collaborated with the Etablissements Nicolas (fresh wine and spirits). The Matford car manufacturer used his talents. He was one of Gabriel Chanel’s partners.
