Tal Coat Pierre

(1905 –  1985)

French painter, engraver and illustrator. Tal Coat means “Wood Face” in Breton. He worked with Miro, Ubac, Balthus, Giacometti, Tristan Tsarra. He first started in the figurative and then in abstraction. In his youth he was an apprentice blacksmith and learned to draw and sculpt the material.
