LEPAPE Georges

(1887 – 1971)

French drawer, poster designer and illustrator.
He became friends with Paul Poiret. He illustrated the graphic masterpiece “Les choses de Paul Poiret” which will contribute to the influence of France and Haute Couture. He created posters, fans and decorations for the theatre such as “L’oiseau bleu”. He participated in the illustration of books and he is one of the symbols of the Art Deco period. He has worked for Vogue, Femina, Feuillets d’Art, Harper’s Bazaar, Gazette du Bon Ton, Modes et Manières d’aujourd’hui.
