BONFILS Robert
(1886 – 1972)
French painter and illustrator he was a professor at the Estienne School.
He participated in the creation of posters for the 1925 Exposition des Arts Décoratifs. He worked with the magazine Modes et Manières d’Aujourd’hui. He is at the origin of the graphic transformation of Sèvres porcelain, which will influence the Art Deco style. He also illustrated various books and spent time bookbinding with Paul Bonnet.
